In theory, getting a false positive on a CBD oil drug test should be relatively impossible with a pure CBD oil containing less than 0.3% THC.
A recent study of 84 CBD products purchased online showed that more than a quarter of products contained less CBD than labeling. Examining the legality of these measures restricting the free movement of goods within the EU, the court also stated that CBD extracted from cannabis was not a drug within the meaning of the 1961 Convention; and that EU industrial hemp regulations were not applicable to CBD extract, since it is not an agricultural product within the definitions of those regulations. CBD oil is made by extracting CBD from the cannabis plant and then diluting it with a carrier oil such as coconut oil or hemp seed oil. .
